Designed and built exclusively for Holland America Line by Colorado Railcar Manufacturing, the premier builder of futuristic, customized full dome railcars, the McKinley Explorer continues its proud heritage with a long list of unparalleled amenities.

The forward-facing, reclining upholstered seats were custom-designed by Holland America Line and National Seating of Vonroe, Tennessee and measure up as the widest dome passenger seats on any dome car in Alaska.

Larger windows in the dining room, state-of-the-art galleys, and increased seating afford guests with the most leisurely dining experience available. Dining cars accommodate the total number of passengers in only two sittings as compared to three sittings on competitor’s trains.
