Secluded at Makena Resort on a perfect golden beach at the foot of Haleakala, The Maui Prince Hotel is a sanctuary. The serenity can be felt from the first moment a lei of seashells is draped over your shoulders and you are welcomed with the genuine smiles and warm attention of the staff.

The resort, which is located on 1800 acres of Makena Resort, has no immediate neighbors and is built around an Asian meditation garden with stone paths, quiet corners for contemplation, waterfalls, and streams swarming with brilliant red and gold carp. The roof is the sky. The door of every room opens to this atrium, while the windows and lanai (balcony) look out upon the ocean.

All 310 rooms are well-appointed in traditional island decor, with all the amenities that one would expect in a first-class hotel including spacious lanais and double doors. All guest rooms feature complimentary use of video cassette player, make-up mirror, hair dryer, nightly turndown service, to name a few. All rooms have ocean views.

Suites: Each one of the 19 suites are richly appointed in the finest interiors with a Hawaiian flair. Every oceanfront suite has a living room and a spectacular ocean view, plus upgraded amenities.

Take the hotel's 47-foot catamaran, The slice of the Pacific, to snorkel at Molokini or go whale watching from December through May. There are a variety of ocean sports to choose from; sail a Hobiecat, windsurf, snorkel, boogie board, dip in the two pools, or bask on the gorgeous white sand beach. For those who play tennis, this award winning facility features six plexi-paved courts, two are available for night play. For those who love golf, there's the 36 hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

"Hi Vicki, We're just back from our honeymoon. It was truly fabulous. Everything was perfect. We loved our room at the Hanalei Bat resort (what a view!) and the area in general. Also loved the Maui Prince and all the amenities there. Thanks for the $25 credit! We applied it to snorkel gear rental, which got good use. We wandered around the other resorts in Wailea and were impressed. The Grand Wailea is absolutely unbelievable! However, in the end, we're glad we were at the Maui Prince. Grand Wailea is almost too much--why bother flying all the way to Maui for a resort you'll never want to leave? (Converseley, if you do other activities in Maui you won't get your money's worth out of that amazing hotel...) So anyway, thanks for putting the perfect trip together for us. We couldn't have picked any better properties, and didn't have the energy to try amidst all the other wedding planning. Using your services was one of the best wedding decisions we made.
