The resort consists of 125 hales (bungalows) that are surrounded by lush gardens, tropical lagoons, lava landscapes and sandy beaches. Built on the grounds of an ancient Hawaiian village, the modern bungalows reflect the styles of Polynesian cultures.
There are no TVs or radios at the resort to distract you, instead music is provided by the tradewinds and the sea. You will soon feel that you are part of an extended Polynesian ohana (family), with your own thatched-roof hale (house) near the resort's sandy beach. The extra-large rooms are cooled by ceiling fans; some have hot tubs.
Rates include meals, an authentic Polynesian Friday night lu'au, history and petroglyph tours, tennis, sports activities, children's program (except May and September) and rides in the resort's glass-bottom boat.
