"Aloha Joyce! Oh my God, Kauai is the most beautiful place on Earth! I can not imagine anywhere that could be better. Perfect weather, beautiful beaches everywhere, snorkeling, diving, mountains, rainforest interior, wonderful, wonderful people (we met quite a few!), just perfect! We want to thank you very much for all your help, and we loved our condo at Kaha Lani. So cool that it was not surrounded by half a dozen or more hotels/condos (as in the resort areas), it was great being rather secluded in comparison to everything else. We have decided that we HAVE to return, and next time we want to figure out how NOT to come back! Seriously, we took one of the helicopter flights, a catamaran (Blue Dolphin) to Na Pali/Niihau/Snorkel (7 hrs—GREAT), and Kayak Hanalei, which is run by a Hawaiin woman and her family! It was wonderful, as she and her son told us all kinds of things about the island, folklore, history, plants, fish, etc. We very much enjoyed this excursion. We went to Waimei Canyon twice, and the second time we walked the Canyon Trail to see one of the waterfalls up close. Did a lot of snorkeling, went on Limahuli and Allerton Gardens tours, and just plain had a great time. (I did get my massage, as well. Wonderful!) "We were on our honeymoon and stayed at Kaha Lani for 5 days. The honeymoon was 11 days total. The first thing I thought when we walked in to the condo was "oh no, there is no air conditioning", but we did not need it. The unit has an ocean view and plenty of fans and breeze to keep you cool. We found Kaha Lani and Kauai extremely relaxing. We played golf at Poipu Bay and went to Roy's for dinner, we went on the Napali Cruise in the morning with Kauai Sea Tours which was great. The ocean was pretty rough, but I had taken Bonine beforehand and I was fine. Quite a few people got sick, but it was still a nice ride. We got to see Spinner dolphins, a humpback whale, and a sea turtle as well as various fish. We went horseback riding up in Princeville one day as well. We also spent a day going to the canyon. It is amazing. We got some great photos. The last day we drove over to Waimea Falls. We will definitely go back to Kauai. It was a special place." - Patricia Cogan, Philadelphia, PA, 2007-05-14
"Paula, Got your postcard the other day. We had a nice time in Kauai. We didn't do as much time on the beaches as we might have liked to but we did walk the beach by the condo a couple of times and also up past Kapaa on the new walkway there, this is a great addition to the island. Condo location was great and so was the condo. All and all a fine trip. Thanks for your trip tips e-mail too. Thank you for your help. Next time we go to Kauai we'll contact you.
